I am a militrary ignoramus. Furthermore, I opposed the unwarranted and foolhardy Iraq War (very kind adjectives) from Day 1, or rather from Day minus 120.
Why is it then that even I recognized in March, 2003, that if there was to be
war, a mathematical result called Lanchester's Law strongly suggested that
there weren't enough American troops to do the job? Surely generals and military planners were aware of this result.
See this: Lanchester's Law: Too Few American Soldiers.
